Rick Kawamoto

Head Trader

Rick is Head Trader for Affinity Investment Advisors, LLC. He brings 20 years of trading experience, both on the retail and institutional side. In this capacity, his duties include trading and investment operations on behalf of the firm’s clients as well as the model portfolios. In addition, he supports the investment management teams with daily processes including rebalancing portfolios, cash management, reconciliation, and trade settlements.

Prior to joining Affinity Investment Advisors, Rick served as Director, Trading for First Republic Private Wealth Management, working on their model trading desk. Previously, his work experience included overseas assignments for Invesco Asset Management (Japan) both in Tokyo and Hong Kong, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and working on the Asia desk for Fidelity Investments International.

Rick earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine and has passed the Series 7 NASD exam.

Rick enjoys spending time with his family, rooting for his two favorite sport teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Lakers as well as discovering new places to eat with close friends.
