Affinity was first founded as an independent firm in 1992. Recognizing the team’s value, Morgan Stanley Investment Management acquired the Affinity team in 2007. The team joined Invesco in June 2010 when it purchased Morgan Stanley’s retail asset management team business. Then history changed.
That same team recognized the immense value it could bring to client relationships by launching once again as an independent boutique. The value to clients now is Affinity’s long-earned history of success based on a pragmatic disciplined investment approach where earnings and valuation matter. Clients gain from an experienced and collaborative collection of individuals who comprise a portfolio management team with decades of experience managing the investment assets for a wide range of clients, including corporate retirement accounts, public retirement plans, Taft-Hartley accounts, endowments and foundations, and retail separate accounts. At Affinity, our goal is to deliver consistent excess returns through favorable stock selection. Our strategy addresses both risk and return. Our track record demonstrates that we can.
Much of our team has gone through some of the most dramatic changes to this business, including tremendous growth. The executives have witnessed and dealt with significant milestones and industry altering events. That time-tested depth of talent is to your advantage.
Ultimately, as an independent boutique we retain the ability to be flexible to provide what our clients need. So the strategy becomes how do we help our clients to be successful. Our platform is what sets us apart:
- Time-tested approach
- Clear investment process
- Systematic stock selection
- Comprehensive risk management
- Disciplined portfolio construction
- Performance with style purity
